Room For More (Massimo Deangelis, percussion, composition)
“Room for More” features 19 original works by the profoundly gifted drummer and composer, Massimo DeAngelis. I am honored to have been asked to be featured on the first cut, “Shine Your Light.” Also featured on the set of recordings are two of the finest improvisors around today, John Swana (EVI) and Jim Ridl (keyboards). As with his other excellent recordings, Massimo plays and composes music with an intensity and sincerity that is both inspiring and uplifting. He draws from a vast and deep reservoir of musical styles and has the musicality and technique to execute complex rhythmic patterns, mixed meters and dazzling solos both to the delight of the musicians with whom he works and listeners as well!
