These recordings grew out of informal sessions over a period of a year. We would get together once a week to develop our skills as improvisers and to provide an opportunity for trying out original works or arrangements. We met in the bassist’s “bungalow” – a funky carriage-house that reminded us all of our college days and provided a comfortable setting for us to stretch-out and play late into the evening. The players were Eric Dutko on guitar; Paul Gehman on bass; John Mosemann on drums (except for Austin's Antics - Dan Monaghan) and Bob Meashey on trumpet. I had known Bob already for many years since we had played together with the renowned Philadelphia guitarist Steve Giordano. I arranged most of the tunes for trumpet and flute.
