Silver Whispers – Musings in jazz for flute and voice. The distinct challenge of improvising over a harmonic structure without the advantage of actually hearing the harmony as it moves through time is something that was intriguing to both Paul and Marc. They first met while on a gig with the eclectic jazz/world music ensemble Siora not long ago and decided to try this challenging way of improvisation using jazz standards for the harmonic structures. Encouraged by their first attempts at this rather exposed way of improvising they decided to continue to develop it and have recorded four selections to date, two of which they performed for the first time as a duo at Andrea's Salon on March 27, 2011. Then a bit less than a year later they signed a deal with Arabesque Records for the digital release of the recordings they made.
